The Arizona Plants CD is a fantastic program that is the best source of Arizona's Plants
that you will be able to find anywhere on CD.
You have access to over 500
PLANTS to search through to find the name of
the plant you have found or want to know details
about.
We scoured the state of Arizona and took pictures of
plants throughout the state. Some of the areas
done include: Grand Canyon National Park, Petrified
Forest National Park, Chiricahua National Forest,
Ramsey Canyon, Joshua Tree National Forest, Organ
Pipe National Monument, Kofa Mountains, Coronado
National Forest, Patagonia Mountains, Mount Graham,
Apache National Forest, Superstition Wilderness,
Four Peaks Wilderness, Sonoran Dessert National
Monument, Sitgreaves National Forest, Mazatzal
Wilderness, Prescott National Forest, Coconino
National Forest, San Francisco Peaks, Kaibab
National Forest, Monument Valley, and also along
Arizona's rivers, lakes, creeks and streams.
Pictures were also taken around Arizona's many
wonderful cities, including: Phoenix, Tucson,
Flagstaff, Sedona, Payson, Prescott, Lake Havasu,
Yuma, Sierra Vista, and the many smaller cities
found throughout the state.
We found many beautiful Arizona bushes, grasses,
trees, succulents, soft stem plants, cactus (
or cacti ), thistles, yuccas, and more!
Most books on Arizona plants only contain a single
photo of each plant, and are also usually quite
small in size, but not in our program, called the
Arizona Plants CD!
Each Arizona plant on the Arizona Plants CD has 4 hi resolution
pictures showing the many details of each plant.
Each photo is also able to be viewed in full screen,
making it much easier to identify plants found in
the wilds of Arizona.
One really useful part of the program of
the Arizona Plants CD is what we
call the
Special Searches page.
From this page you are able to find plants by
several different search methods, including
'Search By Family', 'Search by Flower Color', 'Search by Plant Type',
and 'Search by Partial String (Common or Scientific Name)'.
By using this page in the Arizona Plants CD, you are
able to find plants with greater ease than having to
search through dozens of books, and the speed of the
searches is many times faster than almost any other
method available.
The Arizona Plants CD helps you to learn about Arizona's
plants by both their
Common Names and
their
Scientific Names.
Most people are familiar with plants by their
Common Names while
most people that are seriously interested in botany
know them also by their
Scientific Names.
We made the program this way so that people
of all types can thoroughly enjoy and get the
maximum benefit from using our program!
The Arizona Plants CD has 11
thumbnail pages
with each containing 49 plants. If you have
your mouse over any of the thumbnails, the name of
the plant becomes visible. If you single click
on any of the thumbnails, you will be taken to a
full screen picture of the plant, and from here you
can also go straight to the 4 pictures detail views
page, where you can click on any of the 4 pictures
to also see them full screen. If you double
click on any of the thumbnails, you will be taken
straight to the 4 pictures detail views page.
The Arizona Plants CD includes a beautiful
slide show that contains all of the many
wonderful plants found on the Arizona Plants CD.
You can set the speed at which it runs, if you
prefer it run slowly or quickly, it is easy to set.
The Arizona Plants CD includes a bonus screen saver
that can be used as your computers screen saver.
You can set the pictures to be displayed
consecutively or randomly. You can also set
the speed at which the pictures change. You
also have the option to set a password on your
screen saver so if you run
the Arizona Plants CD
in a work
environment, this will make you feel more secure
when you leave your computer.
